You might feel panic and dread after losing something important. Perhaps you feel restless and stressed. You may be struggling to feel calm and relax or simply you have difficulty shutting down your mind. Perhaps you’re feeling anxious or fearful of losing something else or worried something bad may happen again.
Whatever you are going through, you are starting to notice the impact it’s having in your life:
It may hard to believe now, but you can feel calm again. You can start doing activities without fear of something bad happening. You can start enjoying life again. I can help you get there.
Anxiety therapy can help you.
My approach to anxiety therapy focuses on changing and replacing negative thought patterns that keep your life on hold.
Anxiety does not have to run your life. I can help you overcome that.
Anxiety can be overwhelming. You cannot help but yearn the loss. You may withdraw from social gatherings or public places. You get caught up in overthinking and intrusive thoughts about what happened. You may describe high anxiety as cannot shut down, heart beating fast, trouble breathing or shaking.
You feel worried every day that you cannot control. Difficulty focusing can make you forget simple things. Because of worrying and overthinking, you only sleeps 4-5 hours. You wake up drowsy and tired the next day. You do not have the energy to do anything.
During anxiety therapy, we can work together to identify and replace the worries you have with more positive thoughts. You will learn mindfulness and relaxation techniques to get anxiety relief to help you sleep better at night. Through the use of journaling skills, racing thoughts can reduce which can improve your concentration throughout the day. Using journaling and mindfulness will increase your awareness of feelings and behaviors. You will learn to manage stress and develop skills for coping with anxiety.
It might take a few months before you start to notice a change. But with therapy intensive you can see results in as little as 1-3 days.
You can schedule a brief 10-15 minute phone consult where I will answer your questions and you will decide if this is a good fit for you.
